Gutter Cleaning Wands

Some people might think that scooping out debris by hand or with a scoop in order to clean out your gutters is a waste of time. Wouldn’t it be easier if you could just flush the gutters clean? It is true that running water through your gutter system can wash out some amount of dirt, dust, and small debris. The problem is that you need a little more force to dislodge large clogs. That is where the gutter cleaning wand comes in. Gutter wands are an attachment you add to your garden hose to make cleaning your gutters easier.

The attachment usually has some kind of nozzle on the end that sprays the water from hose out under pressure. The high pressure stream of

Up on top water will help to move clogs out of the way. The nozzle also is usually pointed downward so that you can direct the water flow through the gutters and down the downspouts. Some higher end gutter cleaning wands will have adjustable nozzles so that you can adjust where the water stream goes.

Perhaps the best part of cleaning wands is that they often come equipped with an extender of some sort. There are gutter wands that extend your reach anywhere from four feet to twenty feet. It is possible to clean the gutters on a two story house without ever leaving the ground. Of course, the longer the extension, the heavier the equipment will be and it might be harder to wield it when it gets too heavy to hold over the head. That is why the better tools are made of lightweight aluminum so the weight does not become an issue.

Another advantage to these wands is that they can be used to clean things other than the gutters. You can use them to clean siding, windows, tire wells, or any place that might be hard to reach. You can get a big bang for your buck with the gutter cleaning tool. For a mere fraction of the gutter cleaning prices professionals charge, you can clean your own gutters easily and quickly.
